Olive Harvest Holidays at ELEONAS Resort
Why Crete?
The ELEONAS Hotel, Zaros, Greece, means ‘olive grove’ in Greek. Not only is it buried deep in groves, but the surrounding area, a UNESCO National Park is the olive producing heartland of Crete fed by the natural springs of Mt Psiloritis.
Our regulars have begged us for years for tours which will allow them to join the harvest (starts November, through the winter), join olive tasting classes, cookery classes, visit the ancient groves in jeep safaris, visit the sacred sites like Gortyn where trees date back 1,000 years, and simply sample a slice of the healthy Cretan lifestyle outside the peak summer season.
THE OLIVE HARVEST TOUR PROGRAMME
