Social events

The restaurant Eleonas hosts many social events such as weddings, engagements, baptisms and birthdays, accomodating up to 200 guests. For childrens’ birthdays, we provide a rich childrens’ buffet with tasty and healthy food.

During the summer, the beautiful area surrounding the pool and pool bar is at your disposal for your social events.

International Field Week, May 2008

The restaurant Eleonas took part in a worldwide university programme, International Field Week. The programme took place in May, 2008, in Crete, on behalf of the Department of Preschool Training at the University of Crete. University professors from England, Austria, Holland, Lithuania, Finland and Turkey enjoyed the traditional, local food at Restaurant Eleonas. The programme was in relevance to the continuation and preservation of traditional lifestyle in the mountainous area of Zaros, the culture, natural environment and traditional, local cuisine.

Cooking Week

In October, 2007, the restaurant Eleonas hosted a cooking week featuring a German chef, who, in collaboration with Mrs. Koula, used the kitchen area to create and present various dishes, including both international and traditional, local cuisines.

School trip hosting

The ‘Eleonas’ cottages are capable of accomodating school trips with a limited amount of people, which aim at the children experiencing an agritouristic type of life along with the serenity and beauty of nature. The students have the opportunity to participate in the activities offered by the ‘Eleonas’ Cottages (mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, archery) and have a taste of the rich, traditional, local cuisine.

’Eleonas’ was where the High School Stavrou of Thessaloniki was accomodated. The students also took part in athletic games offered by CRETAN ADVENTURES.

Organisation of holiday events

In Cafe Eleonas, oriental nights, with professional dancers, were held on New Year’s Eve in both 2007 and 2008. With the cafe having been turned into a pretend harem from the East, the dancers put on a rich show for both guests and visitors alike.
